Earth Day 2011 Celebrations and Resources
Charleston County Environmental Management Department’s 12th Annual Earth Day Festival April 30.
The purpose of the Charleston County Earth Day Festival is to educate Lowcountry residents about environmental issues in a celebratory atmosphere. This year's activities will include the annual Earth Day art contest, a poetry contest, science projects, booths focusing on waste reduction, composting, wildlife, energy and water conservation, community exhibits, and promoting a waste-free event.
