Five sites that will help you travel well
Google Flight Search – “If you have exact dates planned for a trip, Google’s airfare finder is a great first resource. The tool instantaneously offers the lowest prices it can find, and gives you a link to the airline’s Web site to book tickets.”
Airfare Watchdog – “This site has one big advantage over other airfare finding services: It employs real people to dig up the lowest prices for plane tickets, including prices that are not listed on the Internet.”
Room77 – “Need lodging? Review rooms in select hotels in 32 cities. You can even book rooms from the site according to which floor you’d prefer, how good the view is, and how far the room is from the elevator.”
Gadling – "Daily posts offer the perfect blend of news, planning, advice, and adventure stories for armchair and active travelers alike."
Airbnb – “Through this site travelers rent spare rooms in local homes, saving money on hotel fees. After the stay, the host and the guest can review each other, so future hosts and guests will know what to expect."
