Our Online Business Library is your one-stop shop for business research. Access these premium research resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for free with your CCPL library card!

Reference USA (

Use Custom Search to create sales call lists or research your competitors within a particular line of business or geographical area. Entries include names of business owners, number of employees, estimated business expenditures and other hard-to-find details for over 14 million private and public companies.

Business and Company Resource Center (

Find information on thousands of public and private companies gathered from many business research sources. Records often include contact information, stock price, financials, market share, rankings, competitors, company history and more.

Mergent Online (
in library | home access)
Search public companies by name, ticker symbol or use advanced search to choose from over 75 search options. Extensive company records contain everything from company histories and historic stock prices to detailed financials, ratios, buy/hold/sell recommendations and more.

Brands and Their Companies – Locate the company that controls a brand name, including names no longer used or not registered with the U.S. Patent & Trade Office.

D & B Million Dollar Directory – Find directory information for larger U.S. businesses.

D & B’s Principal International Businesses – Find directory information for major international firms.

Dun’s Regional Business Directory – Find contact information and basic facts for many
S.C. businesses, including DUNS number, contact information, etc.
