We have been notified by Lynda.com, that Lynda.com users were impacted in a recently-reported data breach.
In December 2016 an unauthorized third party breached a database that included some of your Lynda.com learning data, such as contact information and courses viewed. We are informing you of this issue out of an abundance of caution. Please know that we have no evidence that this data included your email address or password. And while we have no evidence that your specific account was accessed or that any data has been made publicly available, we wanted to notify you as a precautionary measure.
Lynda.com, an online learning site featuring instructional video courses to help people learn business, software, technology, and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals usually requires a paid subscription. Your Charleston County Public Library card gives you free access to Lynda.com from any computer with an Internet connection.
Access must always be through CCPL. You will need to set up your own profile with Lynda.com.

Enter your library card number, starting with D2
Create a password. As this can’t be easily reset, choose one easy to remember such as: library
Replace: “lynda.com” with your first name and “Member” with your last name
