Gently Used Book Sale Coming to Town Volunteers Needed
CHARLESTON, SC – August 17, 2004 – Every September, for over 20 years, the Friends of the Library, has thrown the largest local book sale get-together at the Gaillard Auditorium, 77 Calhoun Street. This year's event promises to be the best yet!
Thousands of gently used books (new releases and classics), magazines, videos, CDs, and DVDs will be on sale for three days, along with the opportunity to support your local library.
Thursday, September 9
6:00 - 8:00 p.m. ($15 admission) "Celebrating Friends"
This evening is open exclusively to Friends of the Library members, but if you join at the door, you can have first dibs at the selection while making a small contribution to the organization that makes the Charleston County Public Library so invaluable in your community.
Hors d'oeuvres will be provided by Hamby Catering, along with beer and wine. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase an autographed copy of the latest Hamby recipe book.
