Summer Reading 2013: June 1 - August 10
CCPL’s Summer Reading Programs kick off Saturday, June 1, which is the first day that Reading Logs and Entry Forms can be submitted. Meanwhile, start planning your summer by checking out the hundreds of great Summer Reading programs scheduled, the thousands of fun and yummy prizes and the list of great summer reads. Find a great book, and get a head start on summer.

Don’t forget to come back after June 1 to complete an online entry form or to print out a reading log.
 

 

This summer, from June 1 through August 10, Charleston County Public Library is rewarding everyone for simply reading. Starting Saturday, June 1, sign up at any of our 16 branch locations absolutely free. Click here to see this information in Spanish.

  

Dig Into Reading encourages and rewards children 11 and younger for reading or listening to stories. Use the library's Summer Reading Log to keep track of what you read, and turn it in for great prizes. Prize drawings will be held throughout the summer, and all you need to do is visit the library or attend a program to enter. Nearly 700 programs are set, including magicians, storytellers and more. Dig Into Reading for Babies is for pre-readers with activity sheets specifically designed for caregivers and babies. Turn it in, and win a board book.

Beneath the Surface Summer Reading is for students entering grades 6-12. Read anything you like, and win cool prizes, including free food, passes to local attractions and gift cards. The more you read, the more you can win. There will be
bi-weekly drawings, Grand Prize drawings and rewards for reaching your reading goals.

 Teens earn cool reading rewards.

Reading Wave is designed for readers 18 and older, and it's a great way to win prizes for reading. Drawings are held throughout the summer for $25 gift cards, and one lucky person will win the fantastic Reading Wave Grand Prize. Read along with Charleston County's youth and cash in - you deserve it.
