Great Books Discussion Group: Crime
March 2013 Meeting: March 13 at 6 p.m.
This month's Great Books Discussion includes The Carpenter's Son by Alfred Edward Housman, Life, Last Words, and Dying Confession by Rachel Wall and Pinched by Jack London. We will also discuss the folk ballad Stackalee and The Real Trial of Oscar Wilde. This first uncensored transcript of Wilde's trial was declared "unfit for publication" by London's Central Criminal Court Sessions Papers in 1895. Books may be picked up at the Fiction Desk.
