Getting Your Library Card
If you are a resident or a business or property owner in Charleston County, you are eligible for a library card, good at the Charleston County Public Library, its branches and the Bookmobile.
Stop by any branch location to apply for your card. To receive a card, you must present valid identification showing proof of your current address. Applications for children age 11 and under require a signature from a parent or guardian. If you are a South Carolina resident living outside of Charleston County, you can obtain a library card by paying an annual fee of $35.

Your Library Card Account
By entering your library card number and PIN, you can:
- View items currently checked out
- Review due dates
- Renew items (some restrictions apply)
- View items on reserve
- Delete unwanted reserves
- Check your account for fines
- Receive or Change your PIN.
