LIBRARIAN II - CHILDREN'S SERVICES - OTRANTO REGIONALFull time position. In our fast growing library system, this candidate serves as the Children's Cluster Head for the locations in the Otranto Cluster; must be able to communicate all information from the Children's Services Coordinator, work on designated system wide projects and attend monthly meetings with other children's cluster heads. EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Executive Administrative Assistant - Administration - Main Library: The Executive Administrative Assistant plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of tasks related to the library's administrative functions. Under direct supervision by the Executive Director, performs full administrative duties in support of the Administrative office by providing customer service, conducting research and handling information requests. Compiles and distributes monthly statistical reports and narrative reports as well as yearly library reports. Coordinates and arranges meetings on behalf of the Executive Director, prepares agendas, and reserves and prepares facilities. Prepares a variety of documents for and correspondence for the Executive Director, Deputy Directors and Library Board of Trustees, including e-mail and faxing. HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT - HUMAN RESOURCES - MAIN LIBRARY: Full time position. Reporting to Human Resources Manager. This position is responsible for supporting the Human Resources Department functions including recruitment, screening, applicant tracking, on-boarding, training, policy maintenance, benefits administration, employee relations, wellness and safety.

Responsibilities include:

Full time position - Performs functions under the guidance of the Circulation Services Supervisor as the Assistant Head of the Circulation Department to oversee the performance of the regional paraprofessional support staff with public services desk duties, routine library functions, and assigned off-desk duties. MASCOT PERFORMER - PUBLIC RELATIONS: Part-time, temporary position. The employee is responsible for wearing the Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) Children's Department's Owlbert mascot costume at CCPL branches and at local outreach events. All appearances are scheduled by CCPL and could include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and some holidays. The employee will wear the Owlbert costume to represent Charleston County Public Library and must project an outgoing, positive personality while interacting with others. Must have the stamina for periods of walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and sitting. Must be able to lift book crates weighing up to approximately fifty (50) pounds and/or push book carts weighing approximately one hundred (100) pounds. REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate with excellent customer service skills, ability to get along well with others, ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly with the general public and with library staff, a strong work ethic. LIBRARY PAGES - (THREE {3} VACANCIES) - (1) COOPER RIVER; (1) WEST ASHLEY; (1) JAMES ISLAND: The duties of these positions include but are not limited to shelving library materials; basic maintenance of the collection and premises.
