When asked how he started in the comic industry, McCloud discusses his early experiences working as a production assistant at DC Comics in New York City. He describes his first exposure to Japanese-style manga and the work of the manga artist Tezuka. He also discusses his books "Zot!," "Understanding Comics," and "Persepolis."
