In the Basic Office 2016 classes get to know the most popular Microsoft Office programs. Learn how to create, format and print attractive documents, spreadsheets, slide shows and publications. Completion of Computer Fundamentals is suggested. These classes serve as the basis for the Advanced Office and More with Office classes.

Registration is requested for hands-on classes and appointments. For classes, registration usually begins one week before the class is held. Specific dates are included with descriptions on the following pages.

Classes at Main are held in the Second Floor Classroom. Regional branch classes are held in their auditoriums. Please make every effort to arrive
before class begins and call to cancel if you are unable to attend.

Basic Word 2016 Type, edit, and format text in a document. Practice copying and pasting, adding an image, saving and printing the document. Completion of Computer Fundamentals or previous experience is expected. 
Basic Excel 2016 Create a workbook with formatted text, simple formulas and multiple sheets. Practice creating a chart and printing, too. Completion of Word: The Basics or previous experience is expected.
Basic Powerpoint 2016 Design a slide show with formatted text, images and a design theme. Explore the various views and show settings. Completion of Basic Word 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Basic Publisher 2016 Create a flyer by customizing a built-in template. Add shapes and images, choose color and font schemes, and explore layers. Completion of Basic Word 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Basic Access 2016 Discover the basic tools used to create and modify related tables, forms, queries, and reports in a database. Completion of Advanced Excel 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Advanced Excel 2016 Learn how to customize a worksheet. Insert and format rows and columns, sort and filter data, apply functions, and select print options. Completion of Basic Excel 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Advanced Word 2016 Practice some of Word's more advanced features like inserting photos and text boxes, working with tabs and tables, and adding shapes and page borders. Completion of Basic Word 2016 or previous experience is expected. 
Advanced Powerpoint 2016 Insert slides and modify text boxes to display digital photos. Learn how to link to other slides and sites, format text with special effects, and apply custom animation. Completion of Basic PowerPoint 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Advanced Publisher 2016 Add design elements like sidebars, tables, photo captions, and calendars to create a newsletter from a blank publication. Insert pages, text, and images and link text boxes. Completion of Basic Publisher 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Advanced Access 2016 Import and export data, establish advanced relationships, design complex queries, and modify objects in design view. Completion of Basic Access 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Word: Mastering Mailings with Mail Merge Merge an Excel contacts list with Word documents to create custom letters, envelopes, and labels. Completion of Basic Word 2016 and Basic Excel 2016 or previous experience with both is expected.
Word: Designing Tables and Forms  Learn how to design and format a table, and then add text fields, check boxes, and drop-down menus to create a fillable form. Completion of Advanced Word 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Excel: Analyzing with Formulas and Charts Learn how to apply advanced formatting options, add and edit charts, and link worksheets in a workbook. Review some popular functions and how to move and rename sheets. Completion of Advanced Excel 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Excel: Building Better Workbooks Make your spreadsheets work for you by incorporating drop-down lists along with conditional formatting to color-code data and cell comments. Discuss the benefits of protecting your workbook. Completion of Advanced Excel 2016 or previous experience is expected.
Introducing Microsoft OneDrive Use Microsoft's apps to create and share documents. Learn about cloud storage and online collaboration. Searching the Web and Basic Word 2016 or previous experience is expected.
