    • Abstract:
Chapter 6 of the book "Deglobalization: Ideas for a New World Economy" is presented. It focuses on the proposals for global governance reform. The creation of an Economic Security Council has reportedly been pushed to bridge the gap between institutions and was not supported by either developed or developing countries. The Meltzer Commission proposes the formation of a World Development Authority that would give only grant aid and technical assistance. Controlling capital flows at the global level by way of a Tobin transaction tax is also noted.
