      This article analyses the performance of football team Jacksonville Jaguars. The team's foundation appears to be the run defense, which hasn't allowed a 100-yard rusher in 13 consecutive games and is among the league's most dominant units. Leading the charge on the defensive line is Marcus Stroud. The offense has been inconsistent all season— which is not surprising with a rookie starting quarterback—but was explosive at times in the second half of the year. QB Byron Leftwich continues to mature, and the team is making it easy on him by relying more on veteran offensive stars RB Fred Taylor and WR Jimmy Smith.
