      The article explores the role of the science fantasy novel "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle in the acceptance and growth of young adult literature. It describes the difficulties faced by L'Engle in having her novel published, as well as previous negative perceptions of science fiction and fantasy. It also discusses the influence of the novel on young girls and the significance of its film adaptation directed by Ava DuVernay that will be shown in March 2018.
