    • Abstract:
The article discusses the development of the victims' rights movement in the U.S. from the 1970s through the 2010s, including the role that the trial against the terrorist Timothy McVeigh, under federal Judge Richard Matsch, had on the victims' rights movement. Feminists and conservatives' efforts on behalf of stricter sentencing for sexual assault and rape, including in regard to victims' evidence and testimonies allowed in court, are discussed.
