    • Abstract:
The article offers information on muscle-related complications from cholesterol-lowering statin drugs. The muscle aches and soreness that people experience when using statins are known as statin-associated myalgias. People prescribed with statins may have other health issues that can cause pains and aches such as arthritis, obesity or aging. Information on nocebo effect, which takes place when people have negative effects from a drug based on an expectation of harm, is presented.
