Otto Cars: reacting to antimicrobial resistance.

An interview with Dr. Otto cars, epidemiologist and infectious diseases specialist at Uppsala University in Sweden is presented. Cars discussed the challenges faced by his organization Action on Antibiotic Resistancer (ReAct) to address the lack of progress on global efforts to prevent antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Cars also talked about his take on the limits of the Global Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System, and the lack of new antimicrobials in the development pipeline.
