      The article discusses an event held by think tank, New America in Washington, D.C. on July 16, 2019 to discuss how U.S. news outlets covered civilian casualties in the U.S.-led war against ISIS in Syria and Iraq. The discussion was apparently inspired by journalist Alexa O'Brien's report 'U.S. Media Coverage of Civilian Harm in the War Against So-Called Islamic State' released by nonprofit organization, Airwars. The need to hold the U.S. military to account with regard to civilian casualities.
