Looking back, moving forward.

The author discusses his idea of writing an introductory textbook "An Introduction to Counselling" for students on counselling training programs as a newly trained, person-centred therapist. Topics discussed include his 10 year experience of teaching personality, abnormal and social psychology at Wolverhampton Polytechnic; and his aim to produce something similar for counselling such as a book that would introduce students to richness and complexity of discipline.
