Combing Through Black Beauty Culture.

In this article the author shares his experience of reading Cheryl Thompson's book, "Beauty in a Box: Detangling the Roots of Canada's Black Beauty Culture", which maps out Canada's Black beauty industry from past to present, infusing critical race theory and Black feminism into a historical investigation on Black hair; and mentions that availability of ethno-specific products and larger structures of racism are intrinsically connected.
