      This article briefly reports various upcoming events in the field of environmental research. It is reported that "Earthwatch Film Award" is going to be held on March 23, 2004, at the National Geographic Society. The winner of this year's Earthwatch Film Award is "Lords of the Arctic" which will be displayed during the award ceremony. There will be a discussion with director and wildlife specialist Caroline Underwood, part of the Environmental Film Festival. A cocktail hour with Earthwatch and National Geographic supporters follows. It is further reported that during a meeting to be held during April 14-24, former Earthwatch principal investigator, Alison Jolly will speak and sign copies of her new book, "Lords and Lemurs: Mad Scientists, Kings With Spears, and Diversity in Madagascar," published by Houghton Mifflin Co. Events are scheduled in Providence, Rhode Island, New York City, Washington DC, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
