      The article reports on the efforts by U.S. libraries to promote the ethical care of Indigenous collections as of January 2021. Also cited are the programs like the 2007 Protocols for Native American Archival Materials by Northern Arizona University, the 2018 endorsement of the program by the Society of American Archivists, and the comment of curator Brian Carpenter of American Philosophical Society (APS) on the initiatives.
