A teologia imaginativa de C. S. Lewis: um estudo a partir de O sobrinho do mago e A última batalha.

There is such a long tradition of Christian writers who had used imaginative language to comunicate theological ideas. Many well succeeded words had been published in past centuries and they are still very well received by their readers. This research has as its aims to show how C. S. Lewis's The Magician's Nephew and The Last Battle can be interpreted as an imaginative rereading of the biblical narratives of creation and new creation, recorded in the Genesis and in the Book of Revelation. The research works with the literary genre known as fantasy literature. The work is divided in four sessions. The first presents Lewis's life and work, with emphasis in his spiritual seeking. The second one presents the threoretical framework used in the research. The third one compares creation in Genesis and in The Magician's Nephew and the last one deals with the theme of new creation in The Last Battle and in the Book of Revelation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Existe uma longa tradição de escritores cristãos que usaram linguagem imaginativa para comunicar ideias teológicas. Várias obras de grande sucesso foram publicadas nos séculos passados e continuam tendo boa recepção por parte de seus leitores. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo mostrar como O sobrinho do mago e A última batalha de C. S. Lewis podem ser interpretados como uma releitura imaginativa das narrativas bíblicas da criação e nova criação, registradas no Gênesis e no livro do Apocalipse. A pesquisa trabalha com o gênero literário conhecido como literatura de fantasia. O trabalho está dividido em quatro capítulos. O primeiro apresenta a vida e obra de Lewis, com ênfase em sua busca espiritual. O segundo apresenta o arcabouço teórico utilizado na pesquisa. O terceiro compara a criação em Gênesis e no Sobrinho do Mágico e o último trata do tema da nova criação em A Última Batalha e no Livro do Apocalipse. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
