Chao Shiyan analyzes Hong Kong director Ho Meng-hua's films in the fantastic mode, ranging from fantasy adventure to horror through the 1960s and 1970s. Chan concludes that Chow's deployment of Sino-enchantment and Buddhism reveals that he is not just a commercial filmmaker but also is the producer of films with a serious moral message. Edited by Kenneth Chan and Andrew Stuckley. [Extracted from the article]
