      The article presents international news briefs. Harlem's noted restaurateur and citizen of the world Alexander Smalls opened up the doors of his fabulous Sugar Hill apartment for an intimate evening of splendor in honor of his dear friends Asake and Mandisa Glover, who were in residence at their Manhattan apartment from their West Coast home. After an incredible meal, Alexander thrilled guests with a variety of musical selections. Lincoln University is celebrating its 151st anniversary this year. Harlem Dowling for Children's Services gave a gala. Performing were Regina Bell, Howard Hewitt, Luther Vandross Orchestra with his backup singers, and Ruben Studdard, while Tommy Davidson was emcee.
