The article focuses on several instances of the power of mind in sports. Steve Wojciechowski of the basketball team of Duke University says for rival player J.J. Redick that he can do whatever he wants. There are going to be screeners in different positions, and he has the ability to use them if he wants to; he can refuse them if he wants to. In politics, power is the ability to compel someone to do something he wouldn't otherwise do. In automobile racing, that's what bumpers are for. If the player in front of a player won't get out of the way voluntarily, tap into his car lightly--but one can't be a brute about it.
