    • Abstract:
Written in 1979, Company, epitomises all the efforts of Samuel Beckett to cross the boundaries between the narrative and the drama. In this work I concentrate on the relationship between space and communication in his selected works (the narrative -- Company, radio plays, film as well as stage plays) so as to show that Company contributes to the understanding of main semantic concerns (i.e. darkness vs. light, inside vs. outside, stage vs. theatre, speaking vs. silence, monologue vs. dialogue, mimetic vs. metaphoric, vertical vs. horizontal etc.) in Beckett's drama. I also focus on the invariant principles constructing the model of the world that emerges from all the works in question. I place my observation in the context of English language criticism on Samuel Beckett. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
    • Abstract:
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
