      The article focuses on the Catholic Church and AIDS in Africa. Bishop Kevin Dowling of South Africa has been asking the Vatican to view condom use as curtailing the transmission of death rather than precluding the transmission of life and believes that the view of Pope Benedict XVI on condom use would change. According to the Catholic bishops of South Africa, Botswana and Swaziland, the use of condoms goes against human dignity.
