      The article presents a letter from the editor of "Educational Studies" concerning the August 2006 issue. The issue celebrates the fifteenth anniversary of the publication of Jonathan Kozol's "Savage Inequalities" by reexamining the issues of inequality in America's public school system that were presented in the book. The issues are especially important, as it focuses on the unjust educational funding systems put in place that leave millions of families facing hunger, unemployment, poor housing, and inadequate health care.
