Reconsidering the modernity paradigm: reform movements, the social and the state in Wilhelmine Germany.

The article presents a study on social history about the problematic aspects in historiography on the Wilhelmine era in Germany. It investigates the social pedagogy and social discipline or biopolitics in social welfare activities and institutions, practices and the governance of the state, and the genocidal implications in Europe as a whole. It highlights the development in social and cultural theory in the light of Michel Foucault's writing in proposing the interpretation that emphasizes the centrality and plurality of political ideology in the twentieth century.
