    • Abstract:
The article presents an exploration into the psychological and environmental concerns regarding the popularity of bottled water and other processed food goods consumption in the United States in the 21st century. Statistics are given citing the significant rise in "natural" and allegedly purified goods. The author suggests that such trends are dangerous, as the products are not any safer than standard market fare but promote unhealthy fear of natural environmental conditions. It is suggested that the concern over isolation from toxins is valid but misguided in the American consumer mentality.
