- Abstract:
The article reports on a collaboration between some Hispanic recording artists to help poor people of Latin America as part of a campaign called Yo amo Amé rica. Among the singers who pledged support for the effort were Ricky Martin, Shakira and Alejandro Sanz. A universal birth registration as a means of guaranteeing children access to education, health and other public services will be promoted by Martin. Shakira and Sanz participated in El Concierto Por Los Niños in Mexico and Argentina in May 2008 to raise funds for such initiatives.
