      The article presents a study on literacy teaching on primary school children in Great Britain by educational publisher Heinemann. It presents results of the research which includes the interviews among teachers on reading the book completely, impacts of lacking of whole book reading, and the views of parents on whole book reading in class. Moreover, the author discusses the Literacy Evolve, a new programme created by Heinemann, which aims to address the literacy teaching of pupils through books.
