      The article examines marketing research on beverage consumption by U.S. consumers. It is noted that carbonated soft drinks are the most frequently consumed beverages, with the average consumer drinking almost 45 gallons in 2010. Beer was the most consumed alcoholic beverage in the same year. Increases in consumption of bottled water and energy drinks are considered.
