      In this article the author discusses the career of George Szell, an American conductor and composer. The author focuses on Szell's conducting and managing style during his time with the Cleveland Orchestra of Cleveland, Ohio in the 20th century, his recording of the piece "Haydn Variations," composed by composer Johannes Brahms, and the perspectives of symphony members, who begrudged the attention Szell received for their performances.
