The article features David Lukenbill, president of the Lampstand Foundation. Lukenbill was 15 when he was first imprisoned for theft but his prison time only served to make the criminal lifestyle more appealing. Three years after living in and out of prison, Lukenbill decided to go to college where he received a federal grant to create an educational program for inmates. The experience began an intellectual process that led Lukenbill to his conversion from Mormon to the Catholic faith.
