      The article discusses the dilemma of Brazilian women who find support and new roles at charismatic churches but their husbands oppose the time they devote on Pentecostalism. An overview of the growing Pentecostal movement in Brazil is provided. According to sociologists, women are attracted to Pentecostalism because they are encouraged to step up and take leadership roles within the church.
