      The article discusses the relationship between law and economics, interstate border compacts, and the economic benefits associated with selling state borders in America as of January 2014. According to the article, mobile state borders and active markets for public land should be woven together to create an interstate market for sovereign territory. A resolution to a 200-year-old surveying error is addressed in relation to the alteration of the border between North Carolina and South Carolina.
