The article offers the author's view regarding the doctrinal minimalism in the Seventeenth-Century. The author states that it is not only the nature of modern liberalism that the doctrinal minimalism could shed light but also on diverse forms that Christianity and religion have in general. The author mentions that doctrinal minimalism is not a novelty in the late seventeenth-century, it has one of its important sources in the philosophia Christi of humanist Erasmus.
