    • Abstract:
      The article reports on the increase of expenses related to cancer research and treatment in the United States. The effort to improve treatment is a failure because of the increase of deaths due to cancer. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation can be used with some degree of success in killing cancerous tissues. Patients treated with chemotherapy have good initial results but have poorer long-term prognosis. The long-term use of multivitamins help reduce the risk to colon cancer. Artemisinin is used in China and Vietnam to treat cancer.
