      The author shares his experience of establishing the Sustainable Collection Services (SCS) with colleagues Eric Redman, Andy Breeding and Ruth Fischer in February 2011. SCS launched GreenGlass, an application to help libraries share and manage print monograph collections, by 2013. SCS joined Online Computer Library Center Inc. (OCLC) in January 2015, where both saw that more direct data access could help grow GreenGlass.
