The author takes a look at the Designers Accord (DA), an alliance developed by designer Valerie Casey which hopes to bring together the design community around environmental and social responsibility. The DA features a pledge to initiate discussion concerning environmental impact with every client. 100,000 design companies from 100 countries are part of the DA as of June 2008.
