    • Abstract:
The article reports that the pub and bar industry in Great Britain has welcomed the delay in the government's plan to introduce new laws to curb binge-drinking. Business secretary Lord Peter Mandelson ordered to postpone all "anti-business" measures including the code on alcohol until after April 2011. He said that such measures should be imposed with a planned implementation date. The code that included a ban on irresponsible alcohol advertising, would cost the industry up to 58 million pounds.
