The article discusses a public opinion poll of U.S. consumers conducted by the publication on Christmas shopping in 2010. An overall reduction in consumer spending indicated by the poll is discussed, including the prediction by 85 percent of those polled they would spend the same or less on Christmas shopping as in 2009, that 30 percent said they would buy presents for fewer people and that over half of respondents said they customarily used coupons when shopping.
