This article informs that playwright Lynn Nottage has won the 2004 Francesca Primus Prize for her new play "Intimate Apparel." The Francesca Ronnie Primus Foundation and the American Theatre Critics Association (ATCA) announced the $10,000 award last week. The Primus award is available to women in all pioneering categories of theatre, but focuses primarily on emerging female playwrights. The panel also selects the American Theatre Critics/Steinberg Award and the M. Elizabeth Osborn Award. Nottage will officially accept her prize at ATCA's annual conference, held this year in June in San Francisco.
