Filmmaker Michael Moore has made a career out of being a muckraker, trying to sweep aside the mud that obscures society's awareness of or interest in what he sees as the wrongs of the world. Unless you subscribe to the leftist political magazine Mother Jones, where Moore once worked you probably first became aware of his work through the 1989 documentary "Roger & Me." This film followed Moore as he doggedly pursued Roger Smith, then-CEO of General Motors Corp., to try to get him to comment on the economic devastation visited upon Moore's hometown of Flint, Michigan.
