      The article reports on the Mining Readiness Strategy launched by the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission in early February 2021 with the aim of supporting mining activity in the region to assess the economic impacts of the mining sector. Opportunities the strategy consider include procurement, workforce development and growth, research, electricity and transportation infrastructure challenges, and analyzing economic impact.
