      The article reports on the scheduled staging of the delayed 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan from July to August 2021 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Also cited are the measures adopted by Games officials to prevent infections during the event like mask mandates, social-distancing procedures, and frequent testing, and the growing anti-Olympics sentiment of the Japanese people.
