The Long Road Ahead to Transition to Post-Quantum Cryptography: Anticipating the output of the competition for new cryptographic algorithms.

The article examines the timeline for the development of post-quantum cryptography. Warnings from the U.S. National Security Agency and the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology to develop public-key cryptography resistant to the quantum computers of the future are reiterated and alleged challenges associated with the transition of cryptography standards are outlined.
