Topics discussed include the patent of the Worm Immobilizer, a classic garage inventor's gizmo; several steps taken by the USPTO to decrease the amount of time that passes between a patent application and its approval, and the efforts of the USPTO to work with individual and microentity inventors, to encourage diversity among patent applicants.
